Our Projects
We are just trying to do everything we can to help more families struggle less.
Bands of Hope
While we were working to build a life in recovery, with a family of six we went to a bunch of events eventually my son Jaymz Deno had collected a bunch of silicone bracelets given out by all the organizations that were at the events. I asked him if he would wear them if they had bible verses on them. He jumped on that opportunity. Before I knew it all our kids had arms full and their friends were asking for them. During Winter Jam 2024 I sent them all four out into the crowd to distribute hundreds of them at a stadium entrance in Louisville Kentucky’s Yum Center. Since that first distribution we have partnered with several companies and even a few teachers to station these little baskets across 5 counties in Southern Illinois. We distribute several hundred of these per month.

Hope Car Project
It was once pointed out to me that I have survived, and in some cases even thrived throughout some things that others do not know how to get through. In my recovery, If I never heard someone tell me that I could survive it because they did then I may have never stayed in recovery. It is the mission of the Hope Car Project to take hope into facilities like prisons, treatment centers, and churches. We believe all people can recover and that those who do owe it to those still left behind to do so Loudly. Tell your story so someone else can ease their suffering, or at least know there is hope. This project has an upcoming Mission trip scheduled for October 15th and 16th. We are always looking for community sponsors for these trips.

Fashion with a purpose
Addy’s Closet
Addy’s closet is a clothing ministry located at 701 Ohio Street in Brookport Illinois. A clothing ministry is a clothing focused thrift shop with the purpose of helping people rather than earning a profit. This is the passion project of one of my twin daughters Adalynn Hazel. This is the primary outreach project and fundraiser for The House of Care Ministries serving over 1500 people within it’s first 18 months of operation. Through this clothing Ministry we distribute bands of hope along with backpacks of school supplies, hygiene kits, and Narcan. This project also supports our Addy’s Cash Clothing voucher program. Weather you are a person struggling or just someone looking to save a buck at these prices everyone is helped by shopping at Addy’s Closet.
Clothing Voucher Program
Addy’s Cash
This project helps to ensure no child ever feels like they don’t have the clothing they need regardless of money. This was born of of needs identified within the community we serve in the first six months of operation. This voucher program managed to serve 137 families in the first year of its operation.
